Personal Experience

I can relate to the immense courage it takes to pause, take a breath, sit with uncomfortable learning after chaos, and figure out how to move forward. My early adult life was bumpy. I entered it with a BA in business and a passion for entrepreneurship—which often meant making risky (and sometimes poor) choices. Marriage eventually gave way to fatherhood, including a meaningful period as a stay-at-home dad. Despite my hopes, divorce was looming, and I didn’t yet know how to stop the train.
When that chapter ended, I was forced to rebuild. Through twists, turns, and hard-earned learning—supported by significant education and personal growth—I began again, this time as a family therapist. I also found love again, with a deep determination to understand what truly makes relationships thrive, both romantically and in partnership. That lived experience continues to shape my work and fuels my commitment to helping others find the connection, love, and security that close relationships can provide.
Supporting Couples
My personal and professional journey has deeply informed my approach to couples therapy. I bring both lived experience and extensive clinical training into the room, helping couples identify destructive cycles and create new patterns of emotional responsiveness and trust. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and draw on a range of tools to tailor therapy to each couple’s unique needs. Whether couples are navigating infidelity, rebuilding intimacy, or managing major life transitions, my goal is to help them build relationships that are resilient, secure, and alive.
Supporting Adults
In addition to couples work, I support adults seeking to better understand themselves and their relationships. My experience as a stay-at-home dad and my own life transitions allow me to connect authentically with adults navigating change, loss, identity shifts, or personal growth. Using approaches such as EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and other evidence-based methods, I help clients process past experiences, break unhealthy patterns, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Treatment Modalities
My therapeutic approach is integrative and personalized, drawing on a wide range of modalities to meet the specific needs of each client. I am trained in EMDR for trauma processing, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Lifespan Integration, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT Tapping), and mindfulness-based approaches informed by the work of Dr. Joe Dispenza. I believe in thoughtfully combining these methods to address the emotional, relational, and nervous-system dimensions of healing and growth.
