Personal Experience
I’ve always been the kind of person who wants to know the “why” behind everything, especially when it comes to understanding people. This curiosity led me to volunteer as a crisis phone specialist, where I quickly learned how powerful it can be to simply listen and be present for someone in their darkest moments. But I knew I wanted to do more than offer a listening ear—I wanted to help people create real, lasting change.
As I moved through my master’s program and internship, I initially focused on anxiety and depression, which I encountered frequently. But the deeper I got into this work, the more I saw how emotional pain, trauma, and difficult coping patterns often intertwine with these struggles. This realization drove me to expand my training and skills so I could truly support my clients in every aspect of their journey. For me, it’s all about helping people find their way back to themselves and live lives that feel genuine and fulfilling.
Working with Adults

In my practice, I’ve found that the first steps toward change can be the hardest—whether it’s overcoming anxiety, recovering from depression, or navigating difficult life transitions. Anxiety can make those first steps feel incredibly uncomfortable, depression can drain all your energy, and a lack of secure relationships can make everything feel worse. I understand how overwhelming it can be to even think about taking those steps. Having faced challenging changes in my own life, I know it’s possible to overcome them. I’m here to walk alongside you, helping you navigate those challenges and supporting you as you grow into the version of yourself that you want to be.
Working with Couples
I’m passionate about helping couples reconnect and strengthen their bond through Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), the cornerstone of my approach. EFT involves three key steps: First, we focus on identifying and de-escalating negative patterns that fuel conflict by uncovering the deeper emotions and insecurities that drive these behaviors. Next, partners learn to share their vulnerabilities and respond to each other’s needs with compassion, fostering a more secure emotional bond. Finally, we consolidate these new patterns, helping couples practice and reinforce positive interactions that create lasting, meaningful change in their relationship.
Approach to Therapy
In my work, I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each client. I often use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients process traumatic experiences and reduce the emotional impact of past events. For those dealing with anxiety and depression, I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, helping clients develop healthier ways of thinking and coping. I also use Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), as described above, to help couples strengthen their emotional bonds. Additionally, I use Motivational Interviewing to empower clients to find their own motivation for change and take meaningful steps toward their goals. My approach is flexible and client-centered, ensuring that each person receives the support they need in a way that resonates with them.
