Parent Coaching
Move from Parenting Overwhelm and Guilt to Confident
Leadership and Joyful Connection with Your Children
Why parent coaching?

Parenthood feels lonely at times. Today we know more about healthy child development, so we know how important it is that we are present and engaged with our children. We also have more demands at work, or our partners do, and they are not available to help.
Maybe we are too far from our own family to get help or a self-care break, or we face the scheduling and emotional challenges of a child living between two households. All this leads to us feeling overwhelmed. Without someone sharing the burden, we feel alone in the responsibility of raising our children well. Parent coaching can help.
Who Parent Coaching Is For
Parent coaching is for caregivers who feel overwhelmed, unsupported, or unsure how to respond to the demands of parenting — especially when everyday stress, family transitions, or behavior challenges feel bigger than you can navigate on your own.
You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
As a Parent Coach, we believe you already have the wisdom to be a fantastic parent! Surprised? Don’t be. What we see time and time again is that the wisdom you already possess has just gotten lost in managing the chaos of your everyday life. Let’s face it; it’s hard to be able to hear one’s inner voice of guidance in the middle of all the noise and drama of the busy and pressured lives that we lead.
Supporting Blended Families & Step-Parent Roles
Blending families brings unique challenges that don’t always have clear roadmaps. New step-parents often wonder what their role should be in their partner’s children’s lives, while biological parents may feel torn between protecting their children, supporting their partner, and maintaining stability. Parent coaching offers a space to thoughtfully navigate these dynamics. We help parents clarify roles, expectations, and boundaries; support healthy attachment and trust over time; and reduce power struggles that can arise when family structures change. Our work focuses on helping families move at a pace that feels emotionally safe for children, while supporting adults in building a cooperative, respectful, and sustainable family system.

Areas of focus for Parents
Parenting
Parenthood is a transformative journey that brings immense joy and fulfillment but also unique challenges. Our team of experienced therapists understands the complexities involved in raising children and is dedicated to supporting parents through every stage of this remarkable experience.
Coaching for Dads
In traditional families, Dad’s role may be the primary income earner and then taking over the parenting at night. That might describe you, but it also might be far from reality. Today’s families can look entirely different and bring all sorts of new challenges for a Dad trying to be the best father he can. Coaching for Dads is about helping Dad figure out his role, be more effectively attentive to the children and manage the parenting partner relationship, irrespective of what that might look like.
Coaching for Moms
Mom may be working from home or heading to an office each day. She may be the primary parent or single mom facing the world alone. No matter how the household is set up, sometimes moms need back up too. Irrespective of whether you are a stay-at-home mom or a corporate mom, Coaching for Moms can help you recognize where your energy is being drained. We will teach you about the developmental phases and how to strategize ways to manage the challenging issues of motherhood, including finding time for yourself.
Family Changes & Divorce
As if life can’t be challenging enough, sometimes it tosses us a whopper. Separation, Divorce, death, illness, job changes, dealing with developmental issues in our children, or ourselves, any of these can impact how we feel about ourselves and who we are as a parent. All can be places where we get stuck. Working with a blend of parent coaching and therapy, I can help you find that positive parenthood role and get back on track to taking care of yourself and moving life forward.
FAQs
Do we attend together?
Parents who live together may find it beneficial to attend coaching sessions together. This approach helps both parents get on the same page and allows the coach to understand each of their unique perspectives, fostering a unified approach to parenting. On the other hand, parents who live apart might prefer to attend sessions separately. This arrangement can make them feel more at ease to share their individual struggles and work on developing their own unique parenting style, tailored to their solo parenting situation. Ultimately, the choice depends on what makes you feel most comfortable and supported in your parenting journey.
Do you also see my child?
Parent coaching sessions are designed to provide parents with a focused and supportive environment to discuss their challenges, gain insights, and develop effective parenting strategies. By keeping these sessions exclusively for parents, we ensure that the conversation remains centered on your needs and goals. Parents are the leaders of the family, and by strengthening the leaders, we strengthen the entire family. This approach allows parents to speak openly about their concerns and explore solutions in a way that is most productive. The insights and strategies developed during these sessions can then be implemented at home, creating a positive impact on the entire family.
How does parent coaching work?
Parent coaching is a supportive and collaborative process designed to help parents navigate the challenges of raising children. Through personalized sessions, a parent coach works with you to identify your family’s unique strengths and challenges, set realistic goals, and develop practical strategies to enhance your parenting skills. Whether you’re dealing with everyday issues or more complex family dynamics, parent coaching provides a safe space to explore solutions, gain insights, and build confidence. Together, we work towards creating a more harmonious and fulfilling family life.
Do you offer telehealth therapy?
Yes, we offer in-office and telehealth therapy.
Is telehealth confidential and secure?
We use HIPAA compliant software to ensure your confidentiality.
What if we are separated or divorced?
For parents who are divorced or separated, it may be more beneficial to attend coaching sessions separately. This approach allows each parent to feel at ease, share their individual struggles, and develop their own unique parenting style tailored to their solo parenting situation. During the tension of the divorce process, attending sessions separately can help keep the focus on you and your parenting, rather than being distracted by any lingering conflicts. Ultimately, the goal is to provide a supportive environment where you can build confidence and find effective strategies that work best for you and your children.
Is parent coaching covered by insurance?
Parent coaching is not covered by insurance because insurance companies typically pay for treatments and services deemed medically necessary, which usually means those associated with specific diagnoses. Unfortunately, parent coaching doesn’t fall under this category, so it is considered an out-of-pocket expense. This is unfortunate, as we know parent coaching can play a crucial role in keeping a family healthy and thriving. Despite the lack of coverage, investing in parent coaching can provide invaluable support and strategies that benefit the entire family.
What does “mandated reporting” mean?
If someone were to disclose the abuse or endangerment of a child or elderly adult, we are required by law to report this to the authorities such as child or adult protective services.
How do I schedule the first session?
Review the counselors on our team that specialize in child counseling. Click to view their profile and reach out to them directly. You may also request an appointment; however, we suggest also emailing them to ensure they are accepting new clients, and their schedule works with your family’s availability. The first appointment is called an “initial parent session”. This is a parent-only session and a chance to meet the therapist, share background, discuss goals and talk about how to keep parents looped into their child’s therapy. The next appointment would be for your child.
