Coaching for Moms
Release Mom-Guilt and Overwhelm to Reclaim
Your Confidence, Energy, and Joy in Motherhood
Mom-xiety vs. Mom-Esteem

Is this the right school?
Am I too strict, or not firm enough?
Are tantrums normal at seven?
Being a mother is hard, period. The decisions are endless and can toss even the most stable and organized of us into daily moments of indecision and crisis. There are the worries about safety and reaching milestones, comparisons to other kids the same age, trying to balance being a playful mom with being a responsible adult. We reflect on our day and see all the things we would have liked to have done differently: I shouldn’t have yelled, I need to plan dinner better, why are they always fighting, homework is a nightmare . . . Parent coaching can help.
Who Coaching for Moms Is For?
Coaching for Moms supports women navigating motherhood stress, role transitions, self-doubt, overwhelm, and challenges balancing caregiving with their own wellbeing.
Common Reasons Moms Seek Coaching
- Persistent mom-guilt and self-criticism
- Feeling overwhelmed by parenting decisions
- Struggling to balance responsibilities and self-care
- Navigating parenting after divorce
- Wanting practical strategies that fit real life
Does Mom-guilt lurk around every corner?
All these worries can let anxiety creep into our lives; mom-xiety. Anxious parents create anxious children. It’s time to stop trying to acquire perfection and get back to our instincts. It’s time to stop questioning, criticizing, and judging, and be the best moms that we can be. It’s time to show our children that we believe in ourselves and that we also believe in them. Otherwise, the people who truly lose in all of this are our children.
Divorced moms carry a different kind of weight after divorce
When you’ve been the primary caregiver, that role usually continues — along with the day-to-day responsibilities of managing schedules, appointments, school communication, and extracurriculars. This invisible labor adds up quickly and creates ongoing emotional and mental strain. Many moms also feel pressure to “do it all well,” which only increases stress and self-criticism.
Financial pressure is common, especially when balancing work and parenting on a reduced or single income. At the same time, social support often shrinks, leaving less time and energy for connection. Co-parenting challenges, differences in parenting styles, and ongoing conflict can add another layer of exhaustion.
Amid all of this, many divorced moms struggle to find space for self-care, identity shifts, or career growth, while navigating judgment and unrealistic expectations. Coaching offers practical, tailored support to help divorced moms regain clarity, confidence, and balance — and move forward in a way that feels sustainable and grounded.

Coaching for Dads is about helping Dad figure out his role, be more effectively attentive to the children and manage the parenting partner relationship, irrespective of what that might look like.

FAQs
Do we attend together?
Parents who live together may find it beneficial to attend coaching sessions together. This approach helps both parents get on the same page and allows the coach to understand each of their unique perspectives, fostering a unified approach to parenting. On the other hand, parents who live apart might prefer to attend sessions separately. This arrangement can make them feel more at ease to share their individual struggles and work on developing their own unique parenting style, tailored to their solo parenting situation. Ultimately, the choice depends on what makes you feel most comfortable and supported in your parenting journey.
Do you also see my child?
Parent coaching sessions are designed to provide parents with a focused and supportive environment to discuss their challenges, gain insights, and develop effective parenting strategies. By keeping these sessions exclusively for parents, we ensure that the conversation remains centered on your needs and goals. Parents are the leaders of the family, and by strengthening the leaders, we strengthen the entire family. This approach allows parents to speak openly about their concerns and explore solutions in a way that is most productive. The insights and strategies developed during these sessions can then be implemented at home, creating a positive impact on the entire family.
How does parent coaching work?
Parent coaching is a supportive and collaborative process designed to help parents navigate the challenges of raising children. Through personalized sessions, a parent coach works with you to identify your family’s unique strengths and challenges, set realistic goals, and develop practical strategies to enhance your parenting skills. Whether you’re dealing with everyday issues or more complex family dynamics, parent coaching provides a safe space to explore solutions, gain insights, and build confidence. Together, we work towards creating a more harmonious and fulfilling family life.
What if I am separated or divorced?
For parents who are divorced or separated, it may be more beneficial to attend coaching sessions separately. This approach allows each parent to feel at ease, share their individual struggles, and develop their own unique parenting style tailored to their solo parenting situation. During the tension of the divorce process, attending sessions separately can help keep the focus on you and your parenting, rather than being distracted by any lingering conflicts. Ultimately, the goal is to provide a supportive environment where you can build confidence and find effective strategies that work best for you and your children.
Is parent coaching covered by insurance?
Parent coaching is not covered by insurance because insurance companies typically pay for treatments and services deemed medically necessary, which usually means those associated with specific diagnoses. Unfortunately, parent coaching doesn’t fall under this category, so it is considered an out-of-pocket expense. This is unfortunate, as we know parent coaching can play a crucial role in keeping a family healthy and thriving. Despite the lack of coverage, investing in parent coaching can provide invaluable support and strategies that benefit the entire family.
Do you offer telehealth therapy?
Yes, we offer in-office and telehealth therapy.
Is telehealth confidential and secure?
We use HIPAA compliant software to ensure your confidentiality.
What does “mandated reporting” mean?
If someone were to disclose the abuse or endangerment of a child or elderly adult, we are required by law to report this to the authorities such as child or adult protective services.
How do I schedule the first session?
Review the counselors on our team that specialize in child counseling. Click to view their profile and reach out to them directly. You may also request an appointment; however, we suggest also emailing them to ensure they are accepting new clients, and their schedule works with your family’s availability. The first appointment is called an “initial parent session”. This is a parent-only session and a chance to meet the therapist, share background, discuss goals and talk about how to keep parents looped into their child’s therapy. The next appointment would be for your child.
