LMHC – Licensed Mental Health Counselor

A Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) has completed a master’s degree, extensive post-graduate supervised clinical experience (typically several thousand hours), and has passed required national and state licensing exams. LMHCs are independently licensed by the Washington State Department of Health and are qualified to assess, diagnose, and provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families.
